Ben Warwick

Welcome our web site about concerts in this area!

Ben Warwick is an 8th grader in Curtis Middle School in Sudbury. Today’s concert was Ben’s idea, woven out of three threads.

The first thread was music: He has played the cello since he was 9 years old. He is a member of a Youth Baroque Ensemble in New England Conservatory and takes a lesson with Susanne Friedrich.

The second thread was his concern about climate change. He wanted to reduce carbon emissions by promoting compact fluorescent light bulbs (CFLs), which save both money and energy and have less environmental impact than traditional incandescent bulbs.

The third thread was an outreach program that he enjoyed when in 4th grade at Haynes School hosted Sudbury Senior’s. He wanted to return the favor.

In sum, the proceeds from this music concert will go towards the purchase of CFLs for the Sudbury seniors.

Ben wishes to express his thanks to Kristin Kiesel, Director of the Sudbury Senior Center who helped make this possible, to the other performers joining him this afternoon, and to you for expressing an interest by visiting our web site today. Hope you can come and/or contribute.
